Marshall Attendance FAQs

 

Why did I receive an absence notification phone call?

When a student is marked absent by their homeroom teacher, even if the teacher and/or school is aware of the reason for the absence, an automated phone call will occur at approximately 10:00 A.M. on the day of the absence to the parent/guardian.

 

How do I acknowledge an absence for my student?

Email: MRES-attendance@pwcs.edu using the email address associated with your ParentVUE account, including the following information:

  • Student’s first and last name and homeroom teacher
  • The date(s) of absence(s)
  • The reason for the absence
  • Pursuant to county regulations, absence acknowledgements should be received within five (5) days from the absence and will be reviewed/updated by the school.

Special note:

Beginning for the 2021-22 school year, absences that are on the same day, or up to 30 days in advance, can also be acknowledged through the ParentVUE app. Please only use this for full day absences, not early dismissals or tardy arrivals.

 

What if I need to pick up my child early from school?

For early dismissals, please come to door 1, and provide a valid picture ID. The student will be called down to the office upon your arrival to the school. Please remember to have on a proper facial covering prior to entering the building. Additionally, early dismissals will need to occur by 2:30 P.M., unless there is an extenuating circumstance.
